Zuleika Dobson is a satire of undergraduate life at Oxford. It was Beerbohm’s only novel, but was nonetheless very successful. This satire includes the famous line "Death cancels all engagements" and presents a corrosive view of Edwardian Oxford. In 1998, the Modern Library ranked Zuleika Dobson 59th on its list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century!©2017 Audioliterature (P)2017 Audioliterature Witty Zen Buddhism

The author did not like women. The story, while unique, is tainted by the author’s overt prejudice against women.

A fascinating work—w/ misogynistic elements

Narrator is an older British man who tries to do voices both male and female. I found the narration annoying. I found much of the dialogue insipid and the plot to be fairly ridiculous but I love Oxford which is why I read the book. Maybe more enjoyable with a more engaging narrator.

Poor choice of Narrator
