My friend, Brian, had whispered this prayer the night before. Just outside his door there had been a violent, cold-blooded fight. Many against one, kicking the young guy unconscious.
Brian’s one line resonated with my soul. It expressed my own heart’s cry at many times, with many feelings of fear in this world. After hearing Brian put this cry into words, it was a prayer I whispered many times after that.
