  • Bodies in Barrels: The True Story of the Snowtown Murders
    Mar 24 2026
Bodies in Barrels: The True Story of the Snowtown Murders In May 1999, South Australian police breached the vault of a disused bank building in the remote town of Snowtown and found eight barrels of human remains, uncovering what would become the most prolific serial murder case in Australian history. The Snowtown murders, also known as the Bodies in Barrels case, resulted in the convictions of John Justin Bunting, Robert Wagner, James Vlassakis, and Mark Haydon for the murders of twelve victims between 1992 and 1999, following an investigation that stands as the longest and most complex in South Australian legal history. What set this case apart from every other serial homicide in the record books was who the victims were. Every single person John Bunting killed was someone he already knew, someone he had brought close, shaped, and ultimately turned into either a weapon or a target. He built a killing operation from the most isolated and struggling people in his own neighborhood, and he made sure each of them was so deeply implicated in what had happened that silence was the only road left open. Today's episode goes into one of the most psychologically consuming cases I've ever covered, and the part I keep coming back to is just how long all of it went completely unseen.#SnowtownMurders #BodiesInBarrels #JohnBunting #AustralianTrueCrime #TrueCrime #SerialKiller #ColdCase🔔 Subscribe for True Crime Cases multiple times a weekNever miss a story. • The High Priest of New Castle: Frank Costal and the Kadunce Ritual Murders
    Mar 19 2026
The High Priest of New Castle: Frank Costal and the Kadunce Ritual MurdersOn July 11, 1978, Kathy Kadunce, age 25, and her four-year-old daughter Dawn were found stabbed to death inside their New Castle, Pennsylvania home in what investigators would eventually classify as a ritualistic homicide connected to a Satanic cult operating in Lawrence County. The cold case investigation sat dormant for three years before a convicted serial killer named Michael Atkinson provided testimony pointing to Frank Costal Jr., a self-styled occult high priest who maintained a following of alienated young men, as the architect of the killings.Frank Costal spent his entire adult life building himself into something impossible to ignore. He started as a carnival freak show performer, eventually returned to New Castle, filled an apartment with black curtains and plastic skulls, and built enough psychological authority over his followers that grown adults were afraid to cross him. When Kathy Kadunce discovered drugs in her house and flushed them, the consequences were unthinkable. This is the story of a traumatized child who grew into something genuinely terrifying, and the family who paid the price for it.#SatanicPanic #PennsylvaniaMurder #KadunceMurders #FrankCostal #ColdCase #OccultMurder🔔 Subscribe for True Crime Cases multiple times a weekNever miss a story. • Missing in Cleveland: The True Story of the Seymour Avenue Abductions
    Mar 17 2026
Missing in Cleveland: The True Story of the Seymour Avenue AbductionsIn 2002, Michelle Knight became the first victim in a kidnapping investigation that would span eleven years in Cleveland, Ohio, as Ariel Castro abducted three women and held them captive at 2207 Seymour Avenue in one of the most significant missing persons failures in American criminal history. Detectives failed to connect the disappearances of victims Amanda Berry in 2003 and Gina DeJesus in 2004, leaving three open cases while the suspect drove a school bus, played bass in local bands, and attended vigils for the very girl he had locked in his house, before a 937-count conviction in 2013.Ariel Castro spent years consoling a grieving mother at community events, handing out her missing daughter's flyers, and standing at candlelight vigils on her behalf. Three women survived more than a decade of captivity through an extraordinary bond forged with each other and with a child born inside that house, and when they finally walked out on May 6, 2013, they didn't stop moving. This is a story about what people are capable of, the absolute worst of it and the most astonishing of it.#ArielCastro #ClevelandKidnapping #MichelleKnight #AmandaBerry #GinaDeJesus #TrueCrime #MissingPersons🔔 Subscribe for True Crime Cases multiple times a weekNever miss a story. I listen to many podcast. I read and listen to many murder mystery books. I am not an expert but I know what I like. This is the one podcast that I must listen to, it is the one podcast that I'm update with, I've listen to them all. I can hardly wait until the next one is released.

It's like addiction.

These podcasts are short, sweet and informative. Joe’s voice is perfect; when listening to his podcasts; I picture him sitting behind a desk with a Fedora hat pulled down, wearing a trench coat, holding a drink in one hand and a cigar in the other.

Brief and bingeable

Joe is soothing and easy to listen to, even when telling a horrific story. He also has a great sense of humor and the perfect amount of moral outrage for the villains.

Ten Minute Murder

Arthur Shawcross was born and raised 3 miles from my house. He was much older than me, however my father went to middle school and high school with Art and his cousin Dave. His first murders-2 minor boys that lived in the area, rocked our small town. My father is friends with Dave to this day. He was always uncomfortable and put off by Art. This is a tragic story about a man who should have spent his life behind bars after the murders in Watertown BY, but instead, he got released and went on to taunt and murder several women because of his inability to perform sexually. A perfect example of what happens when justice and the system make undeniably terrible unreasonable choices to release violent criminals who are unlikely to turn their lives around and mesh with society.

Bone chilling

I started listening first part of this year (2023) I really enjoy how each story is presented.
