At the Milan Olympics and Somehow Still Walking Everywhere

Adam’s in Milan for the Olympics and settling into life overseas, from a very smug Delta One flight and luxe airport lounge perks to getting immediately humbled by the subway system (including somehow ending up at the same stop three times). What should’ve been a quick trip to the rink turns into a very long, rain-soaked walk across the city, but it leads to sweet reunions with skating friends and a peek behind the curtain of Olympic life. There’s travel stories, jet lag logic, and the most random highlight of all: getting FaceTimed into a full-on plant christening as the proud “grandfather."
