  • 189: MYSTERY | Scary True Appalachian Stories
    Mar 21 2026

What would you do… if something in the woods knew your name?

Tonight’s episode features terrifying paranormal encounters deep in the Appalachian Mountains — where isolation, darkness, and something unseen begin to blur the line between reality and nightmare.

The first story takes place at a remote cabin, where an ordinary trip turns into something far more disturbing… when a presence outside begins to make itself known.

The second follows a family driving through the mountains late at night, who stop at a quiet roadside diner — only to realize something isn’t right… and that they may have been there before.

These are two eerie Appalachian horror stories that will make you think twice before answering when something calls out from the woods.

  • 188: HAUNTING | Mansfield Mansion
    Mar 19 2026

In 1994, the Moore family moved into a quiet home in Mansfield, Connecticut… but it didn’t stay peaceful for long. Almost immediately, they began experiencing strange and terrifying activity that quickly took over the house. What started as an uneasy feeling turned into something far more disturbing—something that seemed to follow them from room to room.

At one point, even a police officer stayed in the home to witness the events for himself… and what he experienced inside would leave him shaken. The family eventually learned a horrifying secret about their homes past...

This is the chilling true story of a family terrorized in their own home—and the haunting in Mansfield that still can’t be explained.

Even though I knew it was a made-up story, I got sucked in. I really enjoyed it.

I have a shadow figure in my room and have never had any issues with it... It actually helped me threw the loss of family and when I lost my first cat who was like a child to me... it helps me threw my depression and comforts me at night... it keeps the others away... we had a fight (if you wanna call it that) when I was in high school and I told it to go away, leave me alone and that I hated it... for the next month others started to hurt me, pull me out of bed, strangle me ect... I was to proud/ashamed to ask it to come back and apologize but one night when I thought something was going to kill me (it sat on my chest and strangled me) I muttered "I'm sorry" and it came back, pulled the thing off me and has protected me ever since...

I'm 24 now and still living with my parents because it said that it won't be able to leave this house but promises to sent someone to protect me wherever I go... I said I'll stay for as long as I can and promise to come back... we still have an oddly friendly relationship and it helps me sleep at night... my parents got freaked out one night when it turned on the bathroom light after my brother accidentally turned it off because it knows I'm afraid of the dark... that was a bit of a difficult conversation to have and they think I'm insane but kinda accepted it due to me already not having a very stable mental health...

when my brother comes into my room at night he knocks softly on my door to tell the thing he's coming in because one night when he came in he saw the things eyes and almost shit himself...

it plays with my cats when I'm not home and keeps an eye on my babies... I know a lot of people have a lot of bad to say about shadow figures/people but the experience I've had made me respectful towards them...
