In this episode, I sat down to talk with breast cancer survivor Aruna Rana. We talked about the mental toll cancer took on her and her family, the importance of seeking help as well as the courage of standing strong for spouse and children.
Cancer is still a taboo in our society. By sharing her story, Aruna hopes to inspire other women who are fighting the same battle to not worry about what society thinks and seek support as well as express themselves.
Since the early 1990s, breast cancer has become the most common cancer among women in Hong Kong. It has the 4th highest mortality rate besides lung, colorectum and liver cancer.
