• Why Distraction is the Enemy's Favorite Weapon - E13
    Mar 11 2026

We kick off this episode with some new stories: the spilled LaCroix trauma, a Buffalo Wild Wings phone crisis and the legendary Ohio Nachos incident. Danny then explains why Paul should never, under any circumstances, be allowed to coach in the NFL. Then our conversation takes a sharp turn into work ethic, accountability, victim mentality, and why being “busy” is not the same thing as being effective. By the end we have a powerful conversation about spiritual warfare, distraction, identity, and why sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is whisper the name of Jesus and truly put your trust in Him.

  • Why Losing is Good for Your Kids - E12
    Mar 4 2026

How do you handle loss and adversity? What's it like to lose the Super Bowl? Can burnout be avoided? - All this and more in E12!

In this episode we start with some crazy stories from Paul's high-school days - one of which ends with "like 20 cop cars." Danny then shares how he handled haters and hecklers while playing in college and we share our conviction that youth sports (parents - we're talking to you!) have gotten out-of-control.

Some of our best life lessons came from being on a "bad" team and handling losses. Danny talks about what it was like to lose the Super Bowl and how he personally walked through it with his family. We then chat about raising resilient kids and how burnout is a trap you can take simple, concrete steps to avoid.

We hope you're strengthened and encouraged by spending this time with us! And, as Paul says, "be blessed!"

  • Life Comes at You Fast | Grief, Comebacks, and Trusting God in the Storm E11
    Feb 24 2026

What do you do when life hits hard and grief shows up unexpectedly? In this episode, we talk about real suffering, real faith, and whether God is still good in the middle of it all. But first, we begin with arthritis complaints, fake medical credentials, tornado sirens, and whether neck tattoos are spiritually responsible decisions. Along the way, we debate Adam Sandler movies, sneaking into theaters, high school basketball trauma, and if a middle-aged man could lead a powerhouse football team to a state title.

But then life gets real. A fresh family crisis opens up an honest conversation about grief, memory loss, and watching someone you love slowly fade. In the middle of it all, we wrestle with one big question: Is God still good when suffering shows up? And how do we actually receive comfort so we can give it to others?

  • “We’re Just Serious” 😂 | Hallmark Fails, High School Hoops Debates & Ephesians 2:10 Explained
    Feb 17 2026

Are we “two normal guys”… or just serious? 😂 In this episode, we debate high school basketball glory days, invent a Hallmark card business guaranteed to get cancelled, and consider handing affirmation cards to Nebraska basketball players before tip-off (what could go wrong?). From “boxy one” defenses to getting “caught by laughter,” the word salads are flying.

    But then we pivot.

In one of our most meaningful conversations yet, we unpack Ephesians 2:10 — what it means to be God’s handiwork, created with purpose, and why true freedom isn’t independence… it’s dependence. If you’ve ever wrestled with calling, anxiety, identity, or wondering if you’re “on track” with God’s will, this one’s for you.

You were built different. And on purpose.

    Key Moments:

0:00 – “Don’t look behind you… Happy Thanksgiving.” The first accidental Hallmark card
0:47 – The “Compliment Coach” business idea is born (pay someone to affirm you?)
2:15 – “Disney World” confidence vs. false affirmation debate
5:13 – The 1-on-1 high school basketball showdown begins
8:21 – “Boxy One” vs. “Box and One” — all-time word salad moment
9:50 – “We’re serious.” The gym story that makes zero sense
13:41 – Getting “caught by laughter” (including at a funeral…)
    15:56 – Paul’s Hallmark Card business officially launches 💌
19:12 – Nebraska basketball depression + writing encouragement cards to players
    23:33 – Transition to Ephesians 2:10 — “We are God’s handiwork”
31:03 – Anxiety, panic attacks, and God giving you a “language” for others
34:04 – Independence vs. dependence: Why dependence is actually freedom

    Feb 6 2026

Danny Woodhead and Paul Lanphier start with wild Super Bowl stories, Olympic dreams, and Division II delusions—and somehow end in an incredibly honest conversation about offense, forgiveness, and spiritual freedom. What begins as nonstop roasting, sports nonsense, and laugh-out-loud hypotheticals slowly turns into a deep, practical discussion on why living offended quietly destroys relationships and how forgiveness actually sets you free.

  • Persecution - Judgement, Mercy and The Beatitudes - How to See Others the Way God Sees Them. Plus - Paul in Prison (Paul Lanphier, that is...)
    Feb 2 2026

Danny Woodhead and Paul Lanphier eventually get to the point about how to see with God's perspective-but before that it's chaos with the conversation bouncing between terrible weather awareness, an overconfident “Weather Boy,” near-empty gas tanks, and an unhinged (yet highly detailed) fantasy about surviving prison through gang leadership, tattoos, and coffee dates. Add in toilet horror stories, NFL hot takes, and the assertion that “grace for the next play” would absolutely get a coach fired-and you've got a great conversation.

After this conversational rollercoaster, they take a sharp, meaningful turn and dive into the Beatitudes, wrestling with how truth, grace, mercy, and justice are meant to live together in real life. They challenge believers to stop persecuting each other, see people through the Father’s eyes, and choose compassion and reconciliation—even when it’s hard.

  • Fear of Man - Don't Kiss Your Coach, Mighty Ducks' Lasting Legacy, Homeschool Crushes and More
    Jan 26 2026

As usual, Danny and Paul kick off the episode with randomness: skincare routines, homeschool dating stories, and cigarette science, wandering through Nebraska basketball, the Mighty Ducks' lasting legacy, and why kissing your coach is not the recommended way to break the fear of man. Along the way, they roast bandwagon fans, relive 90s sports movies, and the false theory that one unfiltered cigarette could apparently turn you into an elite athlete (do not try this). Shockingly, it all lands on a real takeaway: stop living for everyone’s approval, remember you’ve already won, and act like the son or daughter you were created to be.

  • Beyond Resolutions: How To Live Your Calling With Boldness - Danny's Scripture of the Year: Acts 2
    Jan 19 2026

Paul and Danny spend the first half of E6 doing what they do best — roasting each other. They debate Christmas history like it’s a documentary and casually pitch adult sleepovers and lip injections like normal humans. But in the second half they take a turn into something weightier: starting the year with a hunger for God, the “sin of busyness,” and what it looks like to live an Acts 2 kind of life, full of the Holy Spirit, boldness, and real community. They wrap up with a heartfelt challenge to stop treating faith like a once-in-a-while moment, plus an on-air encouragement to anyone who needs it.
