Chelek 29, Ki Tetze 1

The Torah outlines four kinds of forbidden mixtures:

1. Shatnez — wearing a garment made of wool and linen together.
2. Crossbreeding animals —
3. Planting mixed seeds
4. cooking meat and milk together.

Are there ever exceptions? What are the spiritual reasons for now allowing them to be mixed?
