    Thanks for tuning in everybody! It's my extreme pleasure to welcome long-time friend, former Islanders defenseman and current Islanders Director of Player Development Eric Cairns to the Penalty Box. I was fortunate enough to first meet Cairnsy on the day he was drafted and he's continued to be a good friend to this day. After years of bugging him to do the show, I finally wore him down. Actually, as any Islanders fan know, the previous regime restricted folks like Eric from doing podcasts, etc so with the new regime in place, I'm able to present this in-depth conversation with the big fella. We'll cover his career from pre-OHL straight through to what's going on today. This is part three of a five-part series. Get comfortable.
