  • MLB 2026 Preview: Best Players, Breakout Stars & Overvalued Teams + Raptors, NHL, NFL & WWE SmackDown | Couch Potato Diary
    Mar 23 2026

A massive multi-sport episode of Couch Potato Diary with Peter Klein covering everything from baseball season previews to hockey suspensions to wrestling recaps.

The MLB preview takes centre stage. I reveal my top ten best players in baseball heading into 2026, the three breakout candidates worth keeping an eye on, including a Blue Jays name on that list, and the five teams I think are being significantly overvalued heading into the season. Some of these might surprise you.

Then I look at four teams that need a strong 2026 more than anyone else in baseball.

The Toronto Raptors are in a fascinating spot in the Eastern Conference standings, and Ja'Kobe Walter is giving this team something to feel good about. But there is a real problem lurking beneath the surface that could hurt them when it matters most.

On the NHL side, the Oilers are running out of time to blow their position, but something needs to change. And the AJ Greer suspension, or lack thereof, has me genuinely furious, and I am not holding back on why the NHL's discipline department has completely lost the plot.

The best remaining NFL free agents are still out there, and I run through the ten names that should still be generating serious interest from contenders.

And WWE SmackDown had its moments this week, but mostly felt like a filler episode, with one genuinely excellent match and a tag title change that opens up some interesting possibilities.

  • Bam Adebayo's 83 Point Game & The Ridiculous Reactions + AEW Revolution Full Recap | Couch Potato Diary
    Mar 19 2026

Bam Adebayo scored 83 points, and somehow, the most talked-about part of it was what it means for Kobe Bryant's legacy. I have some thoughts on that.

Then it is a full AEW Revolution recap, and it was a wild night as always. Hangman Page and MJF delivered something tremendous. FTR and the Young Bucks were excellent. Moxley and Takeshita were outstanding again, and then a return that brought the house down. Plus, Bandido and Andrade quietly stole the show, a new Women's Tag Team Championship picture, and a couple of moments that have set up some genuinely exciting matchups heading into the Canadian tour.

Some matches delivered beyond expectations. One probably did not need to be on a pay-per-view. And one stipulation choice that I am still not sure was the right call.

  • Jaylen Waddle to Denver + NFL Free Agency & NHL Trade Deadline Winners & Losers | Couch Potato Diary
    Mar 17 2026

Peter Klein is BACK with another episode of Couch Potato Diary!

Jaylen Waddle is heading to Denver, and Peter breaks down why this is what Bo Nix and the Broncos desperately needed, and what it means for a Miami team that is clearly pointing toward a new era.

Then it's the Winners and Losers in NFL Free Agency so far. One team spent big and actually filled real needs. One team has made a lot of moves and is still waiting for a good one. And a couple of franchises that needed to address glaring holes just... didn't.

Then Peter turns to the NHL Trade Deadline. Calgary made some genuinely smart moves on both ends. Colorado added real depth to an already dangerous roster. And one team had all the cap space and all the draft picks in the world and somehow still did nothing.

    In This Episode:

    • Intro (0:00)
    • Breaking Down the Waddle Trade (0:53)
    • NFL Free Agency Winners/Losers (4:43)
    • NHL Trade Deadline Winners/Losers (7:29)

  • Maxx Crosby Trade Proposals Graded + Ryan Garcia Dominates + UFL's Wild New Rules & WWE RAW | Couch Potato Diary
    Feb 28 2026

A big multi-sport episode of Couch Potato Diary with Peter Klein. Bleacher Report suggested five NFL teams should make their pitch for Maxx Crosby, and I break down every single one — Baltimore, the Rams, New England, Seattle, and Washington all came with offers, and I grade each one. Washington brings the best pick, the Rams bring the best player in Byron Young, and Seattle brings the best overall package. But here is the thing — none of them move me enough to actually pull the trigger.

Ryan Garcia looked spectacular against Mario Barrios, and I break down what it means for his career and what he still has to prove. On the other side of the coin, Barrios had a rough night that raises serious questions about where his career goes from here.

The UFL has announced some genuinely fascinating rule changes: no tush push, a 60-yard field goal worth four points, no punting inside the 50, and a tiered point after touchdown system. I am genuinely intrigued and make the case for why these are worth trying.

Plus, the Olympics Stock Watch covering the biggest risers and fallers from the 2026 Winter Olympics, a Kulak and Girard trade reaction, and a WWE RAW breakdown.

  • Canada Falls in OT | Hellebuyck Steals Olympic Gold for the USA | 2026 Winter Olympics Men's Hockey Reaction
    Feb 22 2026

It was everything Olympic Hockey promised to be and more. The United States defeated Canada in overtime to win the Men's Hockey Gold Medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, and what an incredible game it was to close out an extraordinary tournament.

Canada has no one to blame but itself. The chances were there. The opportunities were there. This was not a story about the refs or bad luck. This was Connor Hellebuyck simply being the best player on the ice in the biggest game of the tournament and robbing Canada at every turn. We break down just how extraordinary his performance was across the entire tournament and why this gold medal belongs to him as much as anyone wearing an American jersey.

We also take a step back and look at what this tournament meant for the sport of hockey overall. Best on best at the Olympics delivered exactly what fans needed it to, and the drama of the knockout rounds, capped by this gold medal game, is the kind of advertisement for the sport that money simply cannot buy.

  • Canada vs USA Gold Medal Preview + Women's Hockey Breakdown + Blue Jays Spring Training Injuries | Olympics & MLB 2026
    Feb 21 2026

Canada is two wins away from Olympic Gold and the Men's Hockey Tournament has delivered everything fans could ask for. We break down how Canada has dominated the road to the Gold Medal Game, what makes this team so dangerous, and what to expect when they face the United States on Sunday in what could be one of the greatest Olympic Hockey games in recent memory.

Then we shift to the Women's side, where Canada fell short against the USA in a result that raises serious roster construction questions. Were Canada's veterans given too long a leash? We look at why the Americans have pulled ahead and what Canada needs to rethink heading into the next Olympic cycle.

To close the show, we turn to MLB and the Toronto Blue Jays, who are already dealing with major injury concerns before Spring Training gets going. Anthony Santander, Bowden Francis, and Shane Bieber are all sidelined to start camp. We dig into how the Blue Jays can rebuild their offence without Santander, which arms could step up to fill the rotation gaps left by Francis and Bieber, and whether this roster still has a realistic path to contending in the AL East in 2026.

  • How the Seahawks turned one trade into a Super Bowl Championship | NBA Trade Deadline Winners & Losers
    Feb 14 2026

The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions again. And it is ironic that we do this on Valentine's Day, because a major breakup was the big reason for their title run. Peter Klein breaks down how the Seahawks turned Russell Wilson into a Lombardi Trophy.

Then, Peter goes over the teams that tried to do the same in the NBA with his winners and losers of the NBA Trade Deadline period.
