  • “The Trials of Frank Carson” Update
    Dec 2 2025

Attorney Frank Carson spent decades defending the accused in California's Central Valley. He made powerful enemies among law enforcement. When they put him on trial for murder, he insisted he was being framed. He was acquitted after a lengthy trial, but his widow says the ordeal destroyed his health and hastened his death. As part of a malicious prosecution lawsuit, the man who once served as the state’s star witness against Carson admitted his testimony was a pack of lies. In April, Stanislaus County agreed to pay $22.5 million to settle the suit—one of the largest payouts of its kind.

This is an amazing podcast to listen to! The narrator is spectacular and has an incredible voice. His writing skills are fantastic making it so easy to listen. The fact that these are real makes it so exciting. My only complaint is he doesn’t have enough stories for me to hear to and I do a lot of driving. Really not a complaint, just love hearing his stories, crimes and podcast!! Keep them coming.

Best real podcast around

it is unfortunate that John has done what he has done even with all these people trying to help him and support him in any way they can and he had a wife who loved him dearly. Terra deserved better, thank God she got away from that situation with John, every chapter gets interesting more and more to the point you don't want to stop listening I am going to watch the show on Netflix of dirty John now. I've always thought books are better than movies or shows but after I read the books I like to see the movies.

I loved this!
