The Dallas Stars had a horrendous first period, rallied in the final 40 minutes, but came up short in a 6-4 loss to the New Jersey Devils tonight at American Airlines Center. Wyatt Johnston scored his NHL-leading 23rd power play goal of the season, breaking Dino Ciccarelli’s Stars/North Stars single-season franchise record, but the Vegas Golden Knights spoiled the party by defeating the Dallas Stars 3-2 on Sunday night at American Airlines Center. Johnston’s record-setting power play goal came in the first period, followed by a Justin Hryckowian goal to give Dallas a 2-1 lead.
