• 075 - Your Village Needs an Audit
    Mar 18 2026

Everyone says “it takes a village”… but what if the village you have isn’t actually supporting you the way you need?

In this episode, Maya and Sarah get honest about what a village really looks like in certain seasons of life. They unpack the difference between emotional support and real, practical help, and why proximity, history, and good intentions don’t always equal true support.

Together, they walk through a sort of “village audit” — a gentle but eye-opening way to assess who is truly showing up in your life right now, and where you may need to shift or build new support.

    They also share:

    • The 3 types of villagers everyone needs (and why no one person can be all three)

    • Red flags and green flags in friendships and support systems

    • How to ask for help and give help clearly

    • Tangible ways to build (and be part of) a village

This episode is your reminder that doing it all was never meant to be done alone.

  • 074 - Re-Release: Stephany Faublas is Doing It All! Raising herself, raising her daughter and raising her voice.
    Mar 5 2026

This week we’re re-releasing one of our most powerful conversations with Stephany Faublas. Stephany and her daughter Cadence share a truly special bond, working together as partners in both life and creativity. In this episode, we explore their unique mother-daughter relationship, what it’s like raising each other, and how they support each other through their personal and professional journeys.

Stephany opens up about single motherhood, the courage it takes to speak honestly about difficult relationships and the realities many mothers face behind closed doors. We also talk about their viral TikTok moment, the unpolished side of creating content online, and what it looks like to grow alongside your child.

Since this conversation first aired, Stephany has continued sharing her story on her podcast, After Birth, as well as her youtube channel. She has also started a nonprofit called the F U fund which is designed to help women financially through situations similar to her own.

Knowing how far she and Cadence have come since this recording makes this conversation hit even deeper. We’re honored to share it again.

  • 073 - Darren Graham on Creating A Full Life
    Feb 19 2026

This week, we’re joined by Darren Graham-a content creator, and single dad by choice whose building family and community on his own terms.

We talk about Darren’s journey from educator to content creator, his path to fatherhood through adoption, and what it’s looked like to step into this new chapter with intention. He shares how his love of fashion and personal style shows up in his everyday life, and how that expression is already being passed down to his son.

We also get into what “village” really means, from his support of communities like the Brooklyn Stroll Club to the people who show up for him in real life, and why parenthood is never meant to be done alone.

Darren also shares a heartfelt love letter to Black women, what he considers an “op,” and how he unwinds, bringing both humor and honesty to the conversation.

This episode is funny, emotional, and a powerful reminder that building a full life, and raising a child, takes intention, presence, and community.

  • 072 - Re-release: Doing It All with Blair and Spencer Paysinger
    Feb 11 2026

In this special Valentine’s Day re-release, we’re bringing back the only couple we’ve ever interviewed together on Doing It All — Blair and Spencer Paysinger.

Blair is the co-founder of Post 21, a thoughtfully curated marketplace celebrating Black-owned businesses. Spencer is a former NFL player turned consulting producer and the real-life inspiration behind the hit TV show All American. Together, they are a dynamic, deeply intentional couple building careers, raising children, and protecting their marriage in the process.

In this episode, Blair and Spencer open up about what it really looks like to balance ambition and partnership — from navigating demanding careers and entrepreneurship to raising two young kids while staying connected as husband and wife.

    We talk about:

    • Building individual dreams while supporting each other’s growth

    • Protecting your relationship in high-demand seasons

    • Communication, ego, and recalibrating when life shifts

    • Parenting as a team

    • The logistics (and love) behind “doing it all”

If you’ve ever wondered how ambitious couples sustain joy while managing full plates, this conversation offers honesty, insight, and practical perspective.

  • 071 - Snowed In, Tuning Out, Showing Up
    Feb 5 2026

There’s a massive snowstorm outside, a lot of fear in the air, and inside our homes, parents are doing what they always do - getting through the day however they can.

In this episode, we’re recording from real life as it’s happening. Maya is two weeks postpartum, we’re snowed in with toddlers, and the news cycle feels heavy and relentless. We talk honestly about what it’s like to be parenting in this moment - when your nervous system is shot, your phone won’t stop delivering bad news, and you’re still expected to show up for your kids with patience and hope.

You’ll also hear a very special (and very sweet) guest throughout the conversation: Maya’s newborn son, whose tiny baby noises make a few perfectly timed appearances, because this is what doing it all actually sounds like.

We move between the personal and the political, touching on postpartum recovery, cabin fever, screen guilt, and the emotional toll of raising children amid political fear, ICE rumors, and growing uncertainty, especially for immigrant families. We talk about how much invisible labor parents carry, and why being told to “just be resilient” often misses the point.

Listener letters guide much of the conversation, including questions about surviving snow days with toddlers and screens, navigating fear in mixed-status families, and managing postpartum anxiety and existential dread in a world that feels increasingly unstable.

This episode is honest, chaotic, validating, and rooted in solidarity over solutions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, scared, tired, or unsure how to hold it all at once, you’re not alone.

  • 070 - (Re-Release) Eve Rodsky WAS Doing It All! Rebalancing the invisible load and reclaiming your time
    Jan 21 2026

If you’re new here (or you missed this one the first time) this is the episode to press play on.

We’re rereleasing our conversation with Eve Rodsky, creator and NYT bestselling author of Fair Play, and honestly, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Maya’s son is officially here 💙, and this season has been all about setting boundaries, having real conversations, and redistributing the work load-exactly what this episode is about.

We originally kicked off Women’s History Month with this conversation because it speaks to the unseen, unpaid, and often unfair labor women carry every single day. Eve breaks down how Fair Play became a movement, starting with a text from her husband, a conversation with Elizabeth Warren back when she was her Harvard professor, and the career path she thought she’d be on before changing everything.

We talk about why excusing partners with “but he’s a good guy” keeps us stuck, why her and her husband’s In-N-Out check-ins double as strategy meetings (genius, honestly), and what Eve calls the last frontier of feminism-and it might not be what you expect. She also shares the three things every household needs to actually function… because most of us are running on vibes and vibes only.

This episode is packed with perspective, laughs, and tools you can use immediately-especially if you’re navigating a new life chapter, redefining roles, or realizing that “doing it all” shouldn’t mean doing it alone.

    Jan 7 2026

This week on Doing It All, we’re revisiting one of our favorite conversations with Bethany Brill (@bbrill)—a creative, entrepreneur, mom, and wife whose approach to home, work, and life feels especially relevant as we move into a new year.

Bethany is known for her thoughtful, innovative take on home design and her honest perspective on balancing a creative career with motherhood. In this episode, she shares her journey, the lessons she’s learned along the way, and why slowing down and being intentional matters just as much as building something successful.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • How Bethany’s passion for design evolved into a thriving career

    • Her creative process for transforming her home into a functional, beautiful space for her family of five

    • The challenges and rewards of balancing motherhood, family life, and a creative business

    • Designing spaces that reflect your personality while supporting your everyday life

    • The importance of prioritizing yourself while building a meaningful career
