• 17. Wishing To Be Taller
    Mar 18 2026

In this episode of Eclectricity, titled "Wish I Was Taller," host Michael McAfee takes an honest and refreshing look at the quiet insecurities that often surface in ministry—the feeling of not measuring up, not being enough, or wishing we had someone else's gifts, platform, or presence. With both humor and depth, Michael reframes the familiar phrase "God equips those He calls," suggesting instead that perhaps God has already placed everything necessary within us before we ever step into the calling. Through personal insight and biblical reflection, he challenges listeners to stop reaching for what's out of reach and instead take inventory of what's already in their hands—their voice, their story, their unique anointing.

Like Moses standing before God with nothing but a rod, this episode reminds us that what seems ordinary may already be divinely appointed, and that true effectiveness in ministry begins not with striving, but with recognizing and stewarding what God has already given.

  • 16. KISS the Noise Goodbye!
    Feb 11 2026

In a world where notifications never stop, and opinions travel faster than wisdom, Michael McAfee offers a timely and steadying voice for the faith community. In this episode, we explore his insight on how the constant noise of the internet and social media has subtly reshaped how believers think, engage, and even practice their faith.

Together, we discuss the danger of confusing volume with truth, influence with authority, and trending voices with timeless wisdom. Michael urges listeners to recognize how distraction, outrage, and endless commentary can divert hearts from discernment and depth—and why Scripture must stay the anchor in an age of endless scrolling.

This discussion isn't about rejecting technology; it's about restoring spiritual focus. It serves as a reminder that the Word of God should be our main source of truth, growth, and peace. Clarity comes not from the loudest voices online but from the quiet, faithful practice of remaining rooted in Scripture.

    Dec 10 2025

On this episode, Michael McAfee is speaking directly to ministry leaders and pastors who feel stuck in the routine. When the calendar is busy and the vision seems small, it's easy to forget that God still calls us to dream big, believe for the impossible, and expect miracles. We'll explore the story in Luke about the woman with the issue of blood—who, through sheer faith, reached out and touched Jesus when everyone else declared her situation was hopeless. Her miracle started with one brave reach. Join us as we rediscover that same faith, same expectancy, and the God who is still able to do far more than we can imagine. Put yourself in a position to believe.

  • 14. How To Handle A Church Hopper
    Nov 17 2025

Host Michael McAfee explores the persistent problem of "Church Hopping." Many Christians experience frustration and disconnection, prompting them to change churches. Michael shares a real story about "Chuck," who finds it difficult to commit to servant leadership, which hampers Chuck's ability to build authentic friendships. Often, what seems like church hopping is actually a deeper need: a craving to be understood, valued, and to have room for questions, grief, or growth without fear of judgment.

  • 13. Getting Rid of Small Church Mentality
    Aug 3 2025

Maybe the phrase "small church" should be replaced with "significant" church. Small/significant churches have their place in ministry around the world, no doubt.

Michael McAfee addresses the reality that many small congregational pastors view themselves as being less than. Be encouraged because this episode gives great wisdom and inspiration on how to overcome that small insignificant church mentality. Mark 9:23 says "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."

  • 12. Curing Quiet Quitting (Encouragement For Pastors Who Want to Give Up)
    Jun 23 2025

Michael McAfee discusses the "quiet quitting" or "slow quit" with some Christian leaders. They start off with a God-passionate, but then after a while the passion seems to wane or the process of pastoring becomes a burden. Some walk away from God completely and some begin to lack in their prayer time and the study of God's Word. Some only go to church when they have too. Discouragement, fear, offense, exhaustion, depression can all be reasons. But truthfully, the enemy is at work to destroy all pastors and Christian leaders.

Michael offers hope to the distressed pastor and ministry leader, by scriptural teaching on this episode.

  • 11. "It's Not Your Church" (part two) Finding Joy in Ministry
    Apr 30 2025

Believing in the rural and small church is a mission greatly defined and loved by host, Michael McAfee. This is part two of the series, continuing with the discussion of finding joy in ministry.

Whether it is pastoring, building a business, working for a company, or even in our finances, God has not placed us in our positions to stay there. In other words, we do not have to stay small or stay in lack. Zechariah 4:10 (a,b) states, "For who hath despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice."

Michael shares honestly that we don't have to despise the days of small beginnings because we won't always (if we steward right) stay small. God is a God of increase and reward, even in the midst of pastoring small communities.

  • 10. It's Not Your Church!
    Mar 18 2025

Statistics show that the connection and community experienced in smaller churches have a greater effect on the lives of believers. Mega churches serve a purpose, no doubt. But rural churches are doing more than just evangelize - they are taking care of their people.

Michael McAfee's passion for the rural church is expressed on this episode. Some pastors can feel like failures, just by the amount of people (focusing on numbers) that are in their churches. He expresses how easy it is to fall prey to that inadequte attitude. Michael explicitly expresses - "This is NOT your church, it's NOT your ministry - it's God's". We're all called to steward it. God will bless it; He will prosper it and He will bless you. It's time to overcome inadequacy in the Kingdom.
