Ep. 6: Victorians Underground

This episode will explore the famous network of pipes and ducts and drainage systems which will take us deep underground, into the Victorians’ public pride and joy, the new London sewers they built mainly in the second half of the 19th century, to serve an increasing number of Victorians.

A system flushed, if you’ll excuse the expression, with its own success. Imminently we will go round the bend, and the aim of our decent will be to enjoy some more subterranean secrets of the era.

Later we’ll go underground for possibly our most grisly secret fear, which late Victorians took to their graves.

Amusing and informative silly history at its best

Wonderful Plus listen, definitely recommend it. People are so weird and I’m sure when our time is examined, it will be just as silly as Victorian times

be fair you are warned you in advance.

the additional narrator's voice grated, and I couldn't get past that. it could have been interesting otherwise.
