Riding her mother's neon pink Huffy bicycle, she promised to be home by noon for a tennis match. But noon came and went with no sign of Tara. Her mother, Patty Doel, drove the familiar route, her concern mounting with each passing mile. Along the roadside, she found fragments of Tara's belongings—a tragic trail of breadcrumbs hinting that something terrible had occurred. A relentless search began, but the answers to Tara's disappearance would remain heartbreakingly out of reach.
