Episode 99 Montana checkpoints keep trucks and roads safe

We pass them all the time. But if you don't drive a commercial vehicle, you might wonder what happens at one of Montana's weigh stations. They've been part of Montana's highways for well over 70-years. Their purpose is to protect our road system, and most importantly, to keep all drivers safe. NBC Montana recently spent a good part of the day at Montana's newest weigh station, just east of Rocker near Butte. It's also one of the Montana Department of Transportations' busiest stations.
