Feature Focus: Facing violence and overburdened systems, Colombia women support each other

Amid impunity and a limited legal system against perpetrators, women's collectives provide an alternative path that gives victims access to information, resources, and even emotional support, which in dire situations can be the difference between life and death.EFE spoke to La Ramona, a women's collective based in Tunja, Colombia, who shared the struggles they face as a volunteer-based organization and the projects they're working on to aid victims of gender-based violence in a country where, on average, three women are murdered every day.
