Finding a Timothy and a Barnabas

Today's episode is a little different from usual. There's no interview; instead, I'm reading a chapter from my first book Becoming a Worship Pastor. In this chapter I talk about discipleship, Paul's relationships with Timothy and Barnabas, and how we can shift our focus from tasks to people.

Here are a few thoughts from this episode:

1. As pastors, we are in the people development business.
2. Practice is what happens before rehearsal. Practice is where you prepare your part and prepare your heart. Rehearsal is where we put the pieces together.
3. At some point in your ministry you will find there is someone under your leadership who is more anointed than you are. Learn to lead them well.
