  • Hue Have to Hear This – The Message of Violet Blend
    Mar 24 2026

SPECIAL EPISODE: For Season 2, Episode 19, in Honor of National Women’s History Month, my guest this week is Giada Celeste Chelli (vocalist) of Violet Blend, an Italian alternative rock/metal band formed in Florence in 2014. Known for their high-energy, sound blending rock, punk, and metal, they have released the albums White Mask (2017) and Demons (2021) and are currently working on a new album. As to why I chose Giada as my guest this week, with being #nationalwomenshistorymonth which honors the contributions of women to history and society, Giada is making a huge difference in Italy as an advocate for social issues, especially with a current campaign against stalking, to which she was a victim herself. Through her experience and advocacy she wrote a song called #thereignofsadness which is currently available for streaming and developed a role playing board/card game called #TalkOrStalk to heighten the awareness about this act of violence. The game is available for purchase on Bandcamp and through social media links. This week's episode is sure to impactful and educational that you don't want to miss. If you find this episode enlightening and educational please share.

  • What a GEM of a gal.
    Mar 9 2026

Where do I even start regarding Season 2, Episode 16 of Gen X Marks The Spot Podcast? My guest is Guernica Mancini of the Swedish rock trio The GEMS. Guernica was an absolute blast to interview. She was so laid back and funny that I did not want to stop the interview, but I only had 30 minutes with her. During the interview, she talked about The GEMS releasing their second album, 'Year Of The Snake', on March 13, 2026, through Napalm Records. Also, once I mentioned to her that Alex Van Halen and SKID ROW, her two favorite American bands were each looking for a new singer, she absolutely lost her mind. Who knows, maybe she's a great fit for both bands? Maybe we will find out? The seeds have been planted. I cannot wait to share this interview with my audience.
