    On the cocktail side of things Matthew is drinking a 0 and 3 while Ben is drinking a Do It for Wilson. Recipes below.

    0 and 3
    • 3/4 oz Navy Strength Gin
    • 3/4 oz Smith & Cross Rum
    • 3/4 oz Orange Curacao
    • 1/4 oz Green Chartreuse
    • 1/2 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/4 oz Simple Syrup
    • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
    • Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice until well-chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe or add to a tiki/collins glass with crushed ice. Garnish with an Orange Twist for the twisted season only the Giants could give us.

    Do It for Wilson
    • 2 oz Coffee Rum
    • 3-4 oz Milk
    • 1 dash cinnamon
    • Pour coffee rum and milk in a glass with ice, stir gently to combine. Dust with cinnamon.

    Let the mediocrity begin! Our deflated hosts celebrate the arrival of Opening Day and Season Six of Giant Cocktails. The release a new intro, go over the Opening Day roster and their predictions, and break down the dismal Game 1.

    On the cocktail side of thing Ben is drinking an Opening Day Fizz...le while Matthew is drinking an Opening Day Black Eye. Recipes below.

    Opening Day Fizz...le
    • 1 oz Dark rum
    • 1 oz Light rum
    • 3/4 oz Lime juice
    • 1 oz Simple Syrup
    • 1 egg white
    • Club Soda
    • Combine rums, lime juice, simple syrup and egg white in a shaker without ice. Shake for 10 seconds. Open shaker and add ice. Shake again until chilled. Strain into a chilled collis glass. Top with club soda.

    Opening Day Black Eye
    • 1 oz Bourbon
    • 1 oz Rye
    • 1/2 oz Orange Curacao
    • 1/3 oz Rich Demerara Syrup
    • 1 oz Lemon Juice
    • 3 Large Blackberries
    • Muddle the berries and syrup in a shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice until well chilled. Double strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a blackberry and/or lemon twist.

    From Opening Day 2021:

    Opening Day Gut Punch
    • 1.5 oz Light Rum
    • 1.5 oz Dark Rum
    • .5 oz Lime Oleo Saccharum
    • .5 oz Lime Juice
    • 3 oz Mango Juice
    • Combine rums, oleo saccharum, lime juice in mixing glass with ice, shake, double strain into highball with ice. Top with Mango juice.

    Opening Day (night, whatever) is nigh! Our pontificaters make their 2026 predictions! Who will make the final roster? Will Tony Vitello troll fans and have Heliot Ramos not start in left field Wednesday night? How many games will the Giants win? And most importantly, will they make the playoffs? And, many more. Buckle in, this is a long one.

    On the cocktail side of things, Ben is drinking a French Gimlet while Matthew is drinking a Timber Cove. Recipes below.

    French Gimlet
    1. 2 oz Gin
    2. 3/4 oz Elderflower Liqueur
    3. 3/4 oz Lime Juice
    4. Lime wheel for garnish
    5. Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake until chilled and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

    Timber Cove
    1. 2 oz Gin
    2. 1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
    3. 1/2 oz Orgeat
    4. 3/4 oz Lime Juice
    5. 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
    6. Shake all ingredients until well-chilled and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
