“Recently I (Rachel) had the honor of speaking at the National Widows Conference where more than 550 expectant (and some reluctant) women showed up to experience what so many women in our community have experienced first hand. The room was tender and strong all at once. We took time to name what we’re tired of carrying and made the decision to lay it down.

My message, Glean. Stay. Plant., came from Genesis 26, and I didn’t preach it from theory — I’ve lived the famine. I know the fear, the scrambling, the ache of wondering how you’ll make it. But I also know this: God’s economy still works, and the law of harvest is more trustworthy than the noise of scarcity. If you can stay. If you can plant. If you can abide in what He’s already given you — there is provision there. And there is life in abundance.

LOVE this message so so much - I heard it In Person as 1 of the 550 widows gathered at Buckhead Church last week! But in the overwhelm of being at the conference for the first time, I just couldn’t take it all in….I couldn’t take in and process your message last week, Rachel! The Word our Father gave you for us all is Beautiful and such comfort and Catalyst to my mind and heart and soul. That “catalytic” word you said in this podcast….brought instant tears to my eyes. Just this Sunday, I felt God’s prompting to go and bring word to a newly widowed man in our small church , that comfort and support and encouragement is out there , or here in our congregation, for his hurting heart…that he is Not alone in his grief. I too want God to be a catalyst of hope and listening and healing -through my life and my experience of loss and grief within Emmanuel’s very real ‘right-here-ness’, to those right here where I have been planted.
I just can’t say enough words of thanks and awe and appreciation for allll the blessings of “Make Room” conference to my heart and mind. May our Father’s continued guidance and wisdom and blessing be yours and on all of your staff and co-laborers and families.
Thank You Jesus
Amen.
