I have an update on the latest political news, and as promised, I share some of the article by Dana Milbank for The Washington Post, "The last remnants of the Republican Party died in Iowa."

In one section, Milbank describes some of Trump's only speech in Iowa. It begins with a Campaign Video that proclaims that Trump is "God's" Candidate and that he was created to fix our country.

Here is the excerpt from the article where he quotes Trump. 

“We’ve got a crooked country,” run by “stupid people,” “corrupt,” “incompetent,” “the worst.”

Trump, in the gospel according to Trump, was the victim of “hoaxes,” “witch hunts,” “lies,” “fake indictments,” “fake trials,” judges who “are animals,” a “rigged election,” “rigged indictments,” and a “rigged Department of Justice where we have radical left, bad people, lunatics.

The nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., “is a rat-infested, graffiti-infested shithole,” he said, with swastikas all over the national monuments.

His opponents, the prophet Trump continued, are “Marxists,” “communists,” “fascists,” “liars, cheaters, thugs, perverts, frauds, crooks, freaks, creeps,” “warmongers” and “globalists.”

Immigrants are like a “vicious snake,” whose “bite is poisonous,” he told them, and there is an “invasion” at the border by “terrorists,” “jailbirds,” and “drug lords.”

“Our country is dying,” he informed them. And, by the way, “You’re very close to World War III.”

Since Milbank wrote the article, DeSantis has dropped out, and even though Nikki Haley may get a bump up from this, more and more Republicans are publically supporting the MAGA Candidate, Donald Trump.

The Feisty, former Navy Helicopter Pilot got right to work, signing two executive orders during her inaugural speech, declaring a state of emergency on utility costs in New Jersey. One order freezes utility rate hikes, and another aims to develop new sources of electricity production to lower utility costs in the long term. The newly sworn-in Democrat sought to contrast the history and character of her state against the Trump Regime. Speaking on the Declaration of Independence, Sherrill says "The people of New Jersey recognize the parallels" between British King George III and President Trump. She accuses the president of "illegally usurping power" and imposing a "Tariff Regime" that hurts New Jerseyans so he can enrich himself. Gov. Sherrill promised to make New Jersey a "New Ark" for "Liberty and Prosperity," drawing on the state's motto. She says she will sign executive orders to freeze energy rate hikes and will fight what she views as abuses of power by the Federal Government.

For the first time in United States History, the Commonwealth of Virginia has a female Governor. Abigail Spanberger took the oath of office at the Virginia State Capitol, a building steeped in history. As her husband and three daughters looked on, along with dozens of well-wishers, the Democrat vowed to work for unity. She said, “It is our duty to demonstrate for the generations to come that when faced with hardships, challenges, divisions, and even bitterness, we too forged a path forward and pursued progress.” Abigail Spanberger is now Virginia's 75th Governor.

Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives conducted shadow field hearings in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Friday, January 16. Why Shadow Hearings? Because no Republicans attended. Most of us have seen the videos of ICE in action on the streets of the Twin Cities. These hearings focused on investigating brutality by ICE in Minnesota against American citizens, a clear violation of the Constitution.

The Maxwell-Blanche interviews - yes, it is all about sex trafficking, massive lies, and the audio of he interviews the Department of Justice recently conducted.

Reading the transcripts of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's audio interview with convicted Sex Trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell was almost painful.

For God's Sake, his job is to run the Department of Justice, not interview CONVICTED FELONS. But we must remember, TRUMP IS A CONVICTED FELON.

Even Trump admits it, and then denies it, he and Jeffrey Epstein were once friends.

From the looks of things, the videos, the photos, the mansions scattered around the world, and the private Jets, they look like best friends.

For at least 10 years, the billionaire and the millionaire bachelors partied with Playboy and Underwear Models.

We now know that the Billionaire, with his own Island, multiple Jets, and even more mansions, was also a child sexual abuser.

And he used his money and his powerful friends to break the law and abuse dozens of young girls.

Epstein and his lover, then work-partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, were and are monsters.

So far, the two are the only two who have brought the victims a little justice.

There are still dozens and dozens of men and women who took part in the child trafficking and sexual abuse of the girls.

There is, obviously, more information about the other sexual predators and abusers in the Epstein Files.

But the Trump administration is refusing to release them. Instead, Trump is trying to divert our attention and change the subject, and deflect. It may work. It has before.
