What empire actually rules the world?

At the height of the Pax Romana, the Roman Empire believed it had created the greatest civilization the world had ever seen—roads across continents, unmatched military power, and poets declaring Rome would last forever. Yet while Rome celebrated its glory, something small and unnoticed was happening in a forgotten province: a carpenter from Nazareth and twelve followers began announcing a different kingdom.

Acts 4:26 reveals the collision of these two worlds: “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed.” Governments opposed Him. Religious leaders tried to silence Him. Authorities arrested His followers. But history tells a shocking story—the empire that crucified Jesus would one day bow before His name.

This message explores how the gospel moves forward no matter what stands against it. Not ignorance. Not religious systems. Not political power. Not even the laws of nature.

God has always used unlikely people—fishermen, farmers, missionaries, and ordinary believers—to shake kingdoms and spread His Word across the earth. From Martin Luther standing before emperors… to William Tyndale giving the Bible to the common man… to underground believers risking everything to carry Scripture across hostile borders—the same unstoppable gospel continues today.

The book of Acts shows us something powerful: history belongs to King Jesus.

And the question is not whether His kingdom will advance.
The question is whether you will be part of the story God is writing right now.

Have you gotten so used to limping that you call it normal?
