February 12, 2026, at the Henry County Board of Supervisors Meeting where Henry County Magistrate Timothy Liechty spoke during public comment for eight minutes and during that time, defended his daughter, Abbie Liechty, candidate for Henry County Attorney, his family and his honor. John pointed out that also during that time he may have violated Iowa Code of Ethics regarding campaigning. Since that time, Magistrate Liechty was givenan Order from the Iowa District Court that due to a conflict of interest with Henry County Magistrate work, that he should be reassigned.
