You don’t have to avoid your grief to have faith. God meets you in it.

Lent invites us to face what we often try to avoid—grief, loss, and uncertainty. In the Gospel story of the raising of Lazarus, we see that even those closest to Jesus experience sorrow, anger, and doubt. “If only…” is a refrain we know all too well.

In this reflection, we explore what it means to move through grief instead of around it. What if naming our pain and allowing ourselves to feel it could become a path toward healing? Even in the midst of loss, God is present—meeting us in our most tender places and leading us toward hope, transformation, and new life.

If this resonates with you, take a moment to pause, reflect, and remember: the only way through grief is through it—and you are not alone.
