Jay Edwards - Candidate for Ohio State Treasurer - Candidate Spotlight

Jay Edwards is a native son of Southeast Ohio. Born and raised in Nelsonville, Jay first ran for office in 2016 at the age of 27. Inspired to run by President Trump, Jay flipped a democrat seat to become a member of the Ohio House of Representatives where he served until 2025 due to term limits.

As State Representative, Jay served as the House Finance Committee Chair where he sponsored and passed a $3.2 billion dollar tax cut, and universal school choice.

Jay lives in Nelsonville with his partner, Jayde and their three children. Jay discusses his run for Ohio Treasurer of State and will be on the May 5th Republican Primary Ballot.
