DAY 21 | Ruth 1–4 |Redemption Through Covenant Faithfulness

The book of Ruth takes place during the dark period of the Judges, yet its story reveals a beautiful picture of redemption and divine providence.

Naomi and her family leave Bethlehem during a famine and settle in Moab. After tragedy strikes and Naomi’s husband and sons die, she prepares to return to Israel.

Ruth, her Moabite daughter-in-law, demonstrates extraordinary loyalty by choosing to remain with Naomi and follow the God of Israel.

Back in Bethlehem, Ruth meets Boaz, a relative who acts as a kinsman-redeemer, providing protection, provision, and ultimately marriage.

Through this act of redemption, Ruth becomes part of the lineage of King David—and eventually the lineage of Jesus Christ.

During national spiritual decline, God quietly advances His redemptive plan through ordinary acts of faithfulness.

DAY 19 - JUDGES 1–12 | THE CYCLE OF REBELLION AND DELIVERANCE

After Joshua’s death, Israel enters a turbulent era known as the period of the Judges.

Without strong national leadership, the people begin drifting from covenant faithfulness.

Instead of fully removing the Canaanite nations from the land, Israel compromises and allows idolatry to influence their society.

The result is a repeated cycle:

Israel sins → God allows oppression → the people cry out → God raises a deliverer.

These deliverers, known as judges, are leaders raised by God to rescue Israel from its enemies.

Figures such as Deborah, Gideon, and Jephthah emerge during this time.

Although God repeatedly rescues His people, the pattern reveals the deep instability that results when a nation abandons covenant obedience.

DAY 18 - Joshua 13–24: Inheritance and Covenant Renewal OVERVIEW

After the major battles of conquest, the focus shifts from warfare to inheritance.

The land must now be distributed among the twelve tribes of Israel according to God’s instructions.

Each tribe receives territory within the Promised Land, transforming Israel from a wandering people into a settled nation.

These chapters emphasize that the land is not merely property; it is a sacred trust connected to the covenant relationship between God and His people.

Toward the end of Joshua’s life, the nation gathers for a covenant renewal ceremony. Joshua challenges Israel to remain faithful to the Lord and reject the idolatry of surrounding nations.

    DAY 17:

    Scripture: Joshua 1–12

Title: Crossing the Jordan: Faith Possesses the Promise

    OVERVIEW:

With Moses’s passing, Joshua assumes the leadership of Israel. The nation stands on the brink of entering the Promised Land after a forty-year wilderness journey.

God commands Joshua with a powerful directive: BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. The success of Israel’s mission will not hinge on military might but on unwavering obedience to God’s Word.

In a miraculous event, Israel crosses the Jordan River, paralleling the crossing of the Red Sea. Just as God delivered Israel from Egypt through water, He now guides them into the fulfillment of their promises through water.

Upon reaching the land, Israel commences the conquest of Canaan. The fall of Jericho serves as a testament to the fact that victory belongs to the Lord, not human strategy. However, when Israel experiences defeat at Ai, it becomes evident that covenant obedience is the key to success.

Through a series of campaigns, God grants Israel victory over multiple Canaanite kings, solidifying their presence in the land.

These chapters illustrate that God fulfills His promises, but His people must walk in faith and obedience to experience them.

  • DAY 15 - Deuteronomy 1–17 | 12 WEEKS - 84 DAYS THROUGH THE BIBLE - A CHRONOLOGICAL KINGDOM JOURNEY
    Mar 13 2026

Welcome to our official 12-Week Bible Reading Program at Shekinah – Kingdom Ready Nation! Over the next 84 days, we’ll embark on a chronological journey through the Bible, uncovering God’s Kingdom plan as it unfolded throughout history.

    DAY 15:

    Scripture: Deuteronomy 1–17

Title: The Call to Covenant Obedience

Deuteronomy begins with Moses addressing a new generation of Israelites as they prepare to enter the Promised Land. Four decades earlier, their predecessors faced a similar opportunity but failed to trust in God, resulting in forty years of wandering. With the majority of that original generation now gone, Moses convenes the people and delivers an extensive series of speeches.

Deuteronomy is more than just a collection of laws; it’s a renewal of the covenant. Moses recounts Israel’s history, highlighting both their past failures and God’s unwavering faithfulness. He emphasizes the significance of collective memory as a spiritual discipline, asserting that remembrance is crucial before entering the land. According to Moses, forgetting God leads to spiritual decline, while remembering Him forms the foundation of faithful obedience.
