Pastor Joshua continues our series The Veil with a powerful message calling us back to what matters most. Through Scripture, we see how God’s people slowly settled, substituted His presence for lesser things, and ultimately strayed. This message is a reminder that drift doesn’t happen all at once, but it always leads somewhere.

In week three of our series The Veil, Pastor Joshua shares a powerful message titled “Cleaning House.” Looking at the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 16, we see a picture of how God doesn’t just forgive sin, He removes it and makes a way for true cleansing.

From the priest, to the place, to the people, every part of the process pointed to a deeper truth fulfilled in Jesus, our High Priest. We don’t come to God because we’ve already cleaned ourselves up, we come because He is the one who makes us clean. And when Jesus carries our sin away, we don’t have to keep carrying it.

This message is a reminder that God cares about the house He lives in, and through Christ, He’s still in the business of making things new.

In week two of our series “The Veil,” Pastor Joshua showed us how looking at the design of the Old Testament tabernacle, we see how the veil separated people from the fullness of God’s presence. It wasn’t a sign of rejection, but a boundary of mercy, showing both God’s holiness and humanity’s need for redemption.

As we walk through the Outer Court, the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place, we discover a powerful picture of the journey toward God and the barrier that once stood in the way.

The good news is that through Jesus Christ, the veil has been torn and the way into God’s presence has been opened.

We kicked off our brand new series “The Veil” this Sunday, a journey from separation to presence.

In this message, Pastor Joshua takes us back to the very beginning in Genesis 3 to uncover the first separation between humanity and the presence of God. What started as presence enjoyed in the Garden quickly became presence avoided, feared, replaced, and lost. But the story doesn’t end there. From the moment sin created distance, God began pursuing. What was lost in the Garden is restored through Jesus. Because of Him, the veil is no longer a barrier, it’s been torn, and we can draw near with confidence.

In this episode of Highlighted, Paul and Pastor Joshua take us to the core of our Kingdom Core Values and talk about why we matter to God. As we wrapped up our series on Sunday, we were challenged with carrying these values with us as disciples of Christ, because we matter, and so do other people. In a world where our value is placed in who we are, what our title is, or what we can offer, we often find ourselves discouraged and undervaluing ourselves. However, God says that we are His children, and when our value is rooted in what He says about us rather than what we might say about ourselves, our perspective begins to shift and the way we live our life changes.
