  • BOOM: Arizona Will SQUASH Michigan, How Iowa State, Houston Made Us Proud In March Madness
    Mar 30 2026
The Big 12 entered the 2026 NCAA Tournament widely regarded as the most brutal, cannibalistic conference in college basketball. However, as the bracket thinned out, that regular-season depth faced a harsh reality check. Heavyweights like Houston and Iowa State were bounced before the final weekend, and regular-season staples like Kansas and BYU suffered early-round exits. Yet, standing tall above the wreckage and carrying the banner for the entire conference is Tommy Lloyd’s Arizona Wildcats. Arizona has not just survived; they have absolutely dominated their way to the Final Four in Indianapolis. The Wildcats opened their run by obliterating LIU and handling a tough Utah State team, but it was in the regionals where they truly Flexed their Big 12 muscles. They dropped a jaw-dropping 109 points on Arkansas in the Sweet 16 before suffocating a massive Purdue squad 79–64 in the Elite Eight. While the rest of the league’s high seeds faltered under March pressure, Arizona’s waves of elite talent—led by veteran guard Jaden Bradley and dynamic freshmen like Brayden Burries and Koa Peat—have proven to be entirely matchup-proof. They are playing with the poise, physicality, and transition speed that the rest of the Big 12 simply couldn't muster this month. As the lone representative of the conference on the sports world's biggest stage, Arizona carries the weight of proving that Big 12 basketball really was the best in the nation this year. • GLORY: Arizona Punches Big 12's Ticket to FINAL FOUR, Tommy Lloyd, Brayden Burries ARE March Madness
    Mar 30 2026
The Arizona Wildcats have turned the 2026 NCAA Tournament into their personal showcase, dismantling opponents with an offense that is as breathtaking as it is balanced. Tommy Lloyd’s squad didn’t just navigate a difficult West Region bracket to reach the Final Four; they blitzed through it like a runaway freight train. The masterclass began with a wire-to-wire, 34-point destruction of LIU in the opening round, followed by a composed, double-digit handling of a gritty Utah State team. However, it was the second weekend in San Jose where the Wildcats truly separated themselves from the mere mortals of the tournament. Facing a red-hot Arkansas team in the Sweet 16, Arizona turned the game into a track meet, dropping a staggering 109 points on the Razorbacks in a 21-point statement win. They followed that offensive clinic with a masterclass in execution against 2-seeded Purdue in the Elite Eight. Squaring off against the Boilermakers, Arizona used its waves of elite freshmen—including Koa Peat and Brayden Burries—alongside veteran guard Jaden Bradley to suffocate Purdue's half-court operation. The Wildcats controlled the glass, dictated a relentless transition pace, and secured a commanding 79–64 victory. With a 36–2 record and an active 13-game winning streak, the Big 12 champions enter Indianapolis with the look of a team of destiny. They are scoring at will, defending the rim, and playing with the terrifying poise of a champion. Everydayer Club If you never miss an episode, it’s time to make it official. • BOMBSHELL: Colorado's Deion Sanders MEDICALLY RETIRING From Coaching College Football Feels Likely?
    Jul 28 2025

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders' future has become a significant topic of discussion, with increasing speculation that he may retire from coaching due to ongoing and serious medical issues.

Sanders, who is approaching his 58th birthday, has battled significant health complications for several years. His struggles began in 2021 during his tenure at Jackson State when he underwent multiple surgeries for blood clots, which ultimately led to the amputation of two toes on his left foot. In 2023, he faced further complications, requiring additional surgery to treat clotting in his right leg.

The severity of his current health situation has intensified in recent months. Sanders was notably absent from Colorado's campus throughout much of spring and summer 2025, opting to remain at his home in Texas for recovery. While he made a brief appearance at Big 12 Media Days, he explicitly declined to discuss his health, stating his focus was on his team. However, recent video clips shared by his son, Deion Sanders Jr., showed the coach participating in limited physical activities, and in one candid moment, Sanders admitted he was "still going through something" and had to draft a will, underscoring the gravity of his health battle.

On Monday, July 28, 2025, Sanders is scheduled to hold a press conference alongside his medical team from CU Anschutz Medical Campus and UCHealth. This unprecedented move for a college football coach has fueled widespread speculation that he will provide a significant update on his health, with many anticipating a potential announcement regarding his retirement.

Beyond the medical concerns, the timing of this speculation also coincides with the departure of his sons, Shedeur Sanders (quarterback, drafted by the Cleveland Browns) and Shilo Sanders (safety, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), to the NFL. Two-way star Travis Hunter, whom Sanders refers to as an "unofficial son," was also drafted No. 2 overall. With his core trio of star players no longer with the Buffaloes, some observers believe Sanders' motivation to endure the rigors of coaching might have waned, especially given his health challenges.

Should Deion Sanders announce his retirement, it would mark a short but seismic era at Colorado. Hired in December 2022, he quickly transformed a 1-11 program into a national spectacle, leading them to a 9-4 record in 2024 and generating a reported $93.9 million economic impact for the city of Boulder. His charisma and media savvy created a "Prime Effect" that brought unprecedented attention to the university. Colorado recently signed him to a $54 million extension through 2029, making him the highest-paid coach in the Big 12.

However, his prolonged absence from team activities and recruiting, coupled with the uncharacteristic silence from the university regarding his condition, has left Colorado facing an uncertain future. While Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter is expected to start at quarterback, and five-star freshman Julian "JuJu" Lewis could challenge, the program's 2026 recruiting class currently ranks last in the Big 12, reflecting the impact of Sanders' absence from the trail.

The impending press conference is expected to bring much-needed clarity to a situation that has captivated the college football world, potentially signaling a significant shift for the Colorado football program and for Coach Prime's future.
