Luke Chapter 9

In this episode, we read Luke chapter 9, where Jesus expands His ministry and reveals more clearly who He is and what it means to follow Him. He sends out His twelve disciples with power and authority to preach, heal, and cast out demons, showing that His mission is now being carried forward through others.

We witness the miraculous feeding of the five thousand, Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Christ, and the Transfiguration, where Jesus’ divine glory is revealed. At the same time, Jesus begins to speak openly about His coming suffering and calls His followers to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.

Luke 9 reminds us that recognizing who Jesus is comes with a call to commitment — a life of faith, surrender, and daily obedience.
