In this episode, we read Luke chapters 4 and 5, where Jesus begins His public ministry with power, authority, and purpose. After overcoming temptation in the wilderness, Jesus returns filled with the Spirit and begins teaching, healing, and proclaiming freedom to those in need.
We see both acceptance and rejection — as Jesus is initially welcomed but then rejected in His hometown. As His ministry grows, He calls His first disciples, performs miraculous healings, and demonstrates authority to forgive sins. The miraculous catch of fish and the healing of the paralyzed man reveal both His power and His compassion.
Luke 4–5 reminds us that Jesus came to bring freedom, restoration, and new life, and that following Him requires trust, surrender, and a willingness to step into something greater.
