Mermaid Rescue at the Market

Mermaids are real! Just ask Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo. They'll tell you about the day they rescued a baby mermaid from the crab tank at the supermarket.

While babysitting their friend Lizbeth's baby, Mable, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo realize they don't have anything planned for her lunch. Off they go to the market to find her something to eat.

But when they pass the lobster and crab tanks in the fish department, Mable spots something incredible—a tiny mermaid swimming among the crabs!

Knowing she doesn't belong there, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo work together to rescue the baby mermaid and return her safely to the sea.

The story ends quietly, with a gentle mermaid lullaby sung by Old Mrs. Moody as baby Mable drifts off to sleep.
