• Anniversary Sunday - Still Building Pt. 4 | Alvin Love III
    Mar 24 2026
Happy Anniversary Sunday, Nashville Life family! 🎉 As we celebrate all that God has done over the last 14 years and all He’s still building, Pastor Alvin continues our Still Building series with a powerful reminder that we are here because of God’s mercy, not our perfection. Looking at Psalm 51 and the heart behind true repentance, this message centers on the truth that the sacrifice for our sins has already been made. God loved us first, and everything we do is simply a response to that love, not an attempt to earn it. Through gratitude, humility, and agreement, we’re invited to align our lives with God’s vision. Your past does not define your future. God’s vision for your life looks nothing like where you’ve been, and He’s calling you to trust it as He continues building you and His church. Scripture references:
    • 1 Peter 2:4-5
    • Psalm 51:17
    • Matthew 24:14

  • Still Building Part 3 | Alvin Love III
    Mar 16 2026

As Nashville Life prepares to celebrate 14 years as a church, Pastor Alvin continues our anniversary theme, Still Building, by reminding us that God is still at work in our lives and in His church.

Looking at Jesus’ words in Matthew 16 and the vision of the early church, this message highlights God’s desire to build disciples who grow in maturity, unity, and purpose. The church was never meant to be a finished product. It’s a living community where God shapes us while also using us to help others grow.

One of the most powerful reminders in this message is that you don’t have to wait until your life is perfect to be used by God. We will always have needs, but God calls us to be both people who depend on Him and people who help others at the same time.

God sees the brokenness of the world, and His answer is the church. As He continues building His people, He invites us to say yes to being part of the solution.

    Scripture references:

    • Matthew 16:13–18
    • Ephesians 4:11–15
    • Matthew 9:35–38

  • Still Building Part 2 | Alvin Love III
    Mar 9 2026

What if the thing you think matters most to God isn’t what He’s focused on at all? Continuing this month’s anniversary theme, Still Building, Pastor Alvin dives deeper into Luke 15 and unpacks the story of the prodigal son in a message titled “It Doesn’t Matter.” At the center of this message are three powerful words: repentance, reunion, and restoration. Through Jesus, the debt of our sin has already been paid, and God’s desire is not to condemn us, but to welcome us home. No matter how far you think you’ve gone, you haven’t out-sinned the mercy of God. His grace is greater than our mistakes, and His arms are always open to welcome us back.

    Scripture references:

    • Luke 15:21-32
    • Hebrews 8:12
    • Romans 5:20

  • Still Building Part 1 | Alvin Love III
    Mar 4 2026

What if leadership in God’s Kingdom isn’t about being seen, but about being underneath? As we celebrate 14 years as a church and reflect on our anniversary theme, Still Building, Pastor Alvin walks through the story of the prodigal son and challenges us to rethink what it truly means to follow Jesus. Building leaders is really about building servants. And servants are the ones who prepare the table, welcome the lost home, and help carry the weight for others. At the center of this message is the power of being underneath. Following Jesus is a gradual process where your sense of self-importance decreases while your love for others increases. It can feel like you’re going into the ground, but in reality, God is positioning you to lift others up. Just as Jesus went underneath us and raised us with Him, we’re called to take that same posture in our homes, our church, and our city. Don’t mistake someone else being celebrated for your rejection. “Other people are important too” does not mean they are more important than you. The Father is able to handle your needs too. Because when you stay in the house, everything He has is already yours.

  • Vision Sunday | Pastor Alvin III
    Feb 25 2026

The vision for 2026 is more than just a strategic plan; it is a direct challenge to every member of our community. This week during Vision Sunday, Pastor Alvin explains why the "who" must always precede the "what" if we hope to see a lasting impact in our city and beyond. As we continue to pursue the vision, we learn growth requires much more than just additional space—it requires a community anchored in unity, connection, and a ready discipleship. Drawing from the wisdom of Exodus, Ephesians, and the Parable of the Sower, this episode explores why revival is only as sustainable as the people willing to build it, challenging us to move beyond a fleeting moment and step fully into our collective mission.

    Scripture references:

    Exodus 18:17-26

    Matthew 13

    Mark 4

    Ephesians 4:12-16

    Isaiah 6:1-8

  • Vision Pt 2 | Pastor Alvin III
    Feb 17 2026

Last week, we laid the foundation: Knowing God and Finding Freedom. But as many of us know, the real challenge isn’t just finding freedom—it’s keeping it.

In this week’s episode, Pastor Alvin walks us through the second half of our vision: Discovering Purpose and Making a Difference. Why do so many of us find it difficult to remain free? The answer often lies in our surroundings. Through the lens of Matthew 12, Pastor Alvin teaches that freedom cannot exist in a vacuum. To sustain your breakthrough, you must be intentional about your environment, ensuring you are consistently tethered to individuals and communities that are conducive to healing.

If you’ve ever felt stuck between your past healing and your future calling, this message is your roadmap to building a life that doesn’t just "get free," but stays free to make a lasting impact.

    Scripture references:

    Ephesians 2:8

    Matthew 12:43-45

    2 Peter 1:5-10

    Matthew 11:28

    Galatians 5:16

  • Vision Pt 1 | Pastor Alvin III
    Feb 10 2026
Pastor Alvin unpacks the first two steps of our church’s vision and why they are foundational for every believer. Knowing God is not about getting your life together first. It begins with coming to Jesus and trusting the mercy that brings us from death to life. But knowing God is only the beginning. Jesus also invites us to find freedom by laying aside the weights that slow us down. Shame, fear, regret, pride, and isolation all keep us from running the race God has set before us. Through Scripture and practical teaching, this message shows how freedom is sustained through community and why walking with others creates the kind of environment where healing lasts. This is the starting point. Knowing God and finding freedom prepare us for what’s next as we discover our purpose and learn how to make a difference. • The Greatest Year | Pastor Pearson Pretorius
    Feb 9 2026
This week, we are honored to welcome back Pearson Pretorius from 3C Church in South Africa for a powerful, paradigm-shifting message. While many seek a year of "glory" or "blessing," Pastor Pearson challenges us to pursue something deeper: The Greatest Year. Drawing from Colossians 2, this episode is a call to move away from "outside-in" Christianity—where we strive for religious approval—and into an "inside-out" life fueled by the Spirit. If you’ve felt exhausted by the pressure to "do more" for God, this message is your invitation to trade religious effort for true communion. In this episode, we discuss: The Abel Heart: Learning to seek intimacy with God rather than credit from men.Breaking the Transaction: Why God’s heart is found in the depth of your walk, not the height of your performance. The Power of Yielding: Moving from human strength to the freedom and healing found in Zechariah 4:6.Identity in Christ: Remembering that everything you need is already found in Him—not in the traditions or "rules" of men. Stop striving for a breakthrough and start living from the rest that Christ has already provided. Because God doesn’t want you to do more; He wants you to seek more. Scripture references: Colossians 2:6–10 Zechariah 4:6 Ephesians 2:8–10 John 15:14 Matthew 7:21–23 Psalm 51:16–17 Genesis 4:1–7 ABOUT US At Nashville Life Church, our vision is dedicated to following Jesus & building leaders.
