    Mar 24 2026
Artificial intelligence promises to make life easier. But what might it be doing to us in the process? In this ninth episode of our Not Just Sacred series, we explore how Christians can approach AI with wisdom. When is using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini helpful? And when should we be cautious? • The Lost Art of Vacation: A Christian Perspective on Rest and Travel
    Mar 17 2026
Vacations are a normal part of modern life, yet most of us have never stopped to ask what they’re really for. In this eighth installment of our Not Just Sacred series, we explore the surprising history behind vacations, from biblical festivals and pilgrimages to Roman leisure culture and modern travel. Along the way we ask whether something important has been lost. If God designed us for rhythms of work, rest, worship, and community, then vacations may be about more than simply getting away. We also discuss a few practical, Christian principles for resting well, traveling well, and finding moments of spiritual renewal (even in the middle of a family trip). 📚 Are you reading Trust with us? • Is Sports Betting a Sin? A Christian View of Sports, Part 2
    Mar 10 2026
Sports aren’t just games; they reveal our character. In Part 2 of our sports conversation, we turn our attention to sports betting, ethics, and the growing normalization of gambling in American culture. Should Christians participate in sports betting? Is it sinful, or is it more of a wisdom issue? We explore what the Bible says about money, character, gambling, competition, and self-control, and discuss how modern betting apps are designed to keep users hooked. From questions of justice and addiction to playing by the rules and losing with grace, this episode examines how faith should shape the way we engage with sports culture today. Did you miss the first half of our sports conversation? Listen here. 📚 Are you reading Trust with us? Don't forget: A bonus episode book club episode is coming on Friday, March 27. Having raised my kids in the same era as this young woman, I remember the pressure on parents to keep your children from the world.
I was scared all the time. At 66, I relate to everything Ms. Billups said. I seemed like a frothing Democrat when I cheered and played Ray Charles' Georgia and Hit The Road Jack on Facebook the day after the election. I also share the POV that being pro life encompasses more than abortion; and I marched for George Floyd. as rich as this nation is, we should have good schools, healthcare, safe neighborhoods, and better elder care. The Catholics are better at this than the Protestants, just saying. I'm appalled at the militant pro-gun propagandists and the lack of concern for the earth.
I don't view these opinions as being a lefty at all. I view myself as a grateful steward and proponent of safety for everyone. I liked her very much.
