From General Mattis saying we're in a tough spot, to the Wall Street Journal publishing an article saying it's the only way forward, it seems like this has turned from a maybe to a matter of time. We also look at a Washington Post article suggesting that we're moving towards the Strait of Hormuz as the overriding priority right now, which does seem to line up with recent statements, and would show that we're reacting now to Iranian moves.
