On their podcast show, Dr. Nigro and his wife Julie offer professional and personal caring. They produce it for us - they recognize it is hard to find reliable help with mental health.. I am a 63 year old woman who has had lifelong challenges with clinical depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and negative thought patterns. I have been stablilized for thirty years with an antidepressants combination. But I still need suggestions on how to handle breakthrough symptoms and daily life stresses. I am level enough that I only see a doctor for refills. Yet I need all the other supports I can get to live life with peace and understanding. Listening to Psychology Unplugged gives me new information, practical perspectives, and broader compassion for myself, others challanged with mental illness, caregivers, and professionals.
