The Texas Rangers left spring training in Arizona on Saturday and are back in town for two exhibitions Monday and Tuesday against Kansas City before heading to Philadelphia for Thursday’s season opener. The Rangers’ roster remains unsettled with four spots still to be decided, manager Skip Schumaker. The Rangers’ offense showed signs that it is on the right track after two straight down years. Pitching carried the team last season, and the rotation should again be a stretch the tries to reach the postseason for the first time since winning the World Series in 2023.
