  • ShortHand: Kinky Sex in '50s America - The Kinsey Scale
    Mar 20 2026

“The Kinsey Reports” – Alfred Kinsey’s 1950s studies into how people like to have sex, and with who – did a lot more than ruffle a few feathers. Even acknowledging that some of us like a bit of light biting or partner-swapping was enough to make headlines. The rest was enough to blow conservative America’s minds…

  • The Kidnapping of Chloe Ayling: Sex Slave or Scammer? | #441
    Mar 19 2026

In 2017, British glamour model Chloe Ayling went through a terrifying ordeal: abducted from a fake modelling shoot in Italy, held hostage for days by an obsessed stalker, and told she’d been put up for sale into sex slavery on the dark web…

Against all the odds, Chloe escaped – and lived to tell the tale. The only problem? No one believed her.

With headlines declaring her story a hoax and dismissing her as a fame-hungry wannabe, Chloe was only vindicated when her captors were convicted. But even now, the doubts still haven’t gone away.

  • ShortHand: King Ferdinand VII – History’s Biggest D**k
    Mar 17 2026

As long as a walking stick. A billiards cue. Thin as a nub of wax at the base, thick as a man’s fist at the tip.

These are just some of the eye-watering descriptions of what King Ferdinand VII – Spain’s worst ever king – was allegedly hiding beneath his britches...

This week, H&S are lifting the sheets of the royal bedroom to meet a king who wrecked an empire, traumatised his young brides, and left the Spanish court buzzing with scandal – all because of his deeply unfortunate anatomical affliction.

I first found these ladies by chance. I was looking for a true crime podcast that wasn’t droll or borderline insulting to the victims. They are informative entertaining and although this is not their full time job they are very active on social media with their listeners. Continuing the discussion after the podcast has ended. They remind me of my sister and I discussing these cases but save us the time of researching. I don’t know if they will see this but thank you for all the effort you put into this podcast.

Fantastic

95% of the time I really enjoy this podcast. I've listened to almost every episode over the past few years. The stories are accurate and clearly narrated, if not a little formulaic. My only gripe is that 5% of the time when either of the hosts actually come off as arrogant/insufferable when trying to be funny about something, where they're not very informed.

Great story telling
