    Tonight, The Light Gate welcomes back Reverend Michael JS Carter. It is such an honor to have MIchael back on the show. He is such a delightful man and a positive force in this world. And his experiences are literally out of this world!

    Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Michael moved to New York City in 1980 and lived there for 27 years, working as a professional actor before moving to Asheville, North Carolina. Michael is an ordained Interfaith Minister and received his BA Degree in Letters from the College of New Rochelle where he graduated cum laude. He received his Masters In Divinity Degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City (class of 2000).

    He has served as a Board Certified staff chaplain at various hospitals in NY and in North Carolina. While serving various Unitarian Universalist Congregations in New York, Michael was trained as an anti-racism trainer and has been recognized by President Clinton for his efforts.

    A long time UFO contactee, his Book Alien Scriptures: Extraterrestrials in The Holy Bible, was (in March of 2014) number one on Amazon.com’s list of UFO related books. Author Whitley Strieber calls Rev. Carter’s first book, Alien Scriptures: Extraterrestrials in The Holy Bible, “The best book ever written on the topic.”

    His three other books are: A New World If You Can Take it: God, Extraterrestrials, and The Evolution of Human Consciousness; God Consciousness: A 30 Day Meditation Manual for God-Centered Thinking; The Metaphysics of Spiritual Healing and the Power of Affirmative Prayer. His most recent book is, "Initiation: The Spiritual Transformation of the Experiencer."

    Rev. Carter’s latest book, “Enlightenment,” is a collection of sermons on themes such as Justice, Religion and Spirituality, Race, and what it means to live the good life. Michael has appeared on George Noory’s Coast To Coast radio show, and on George Noory’s TV show, “Beyond Belief” on Gaia Television.

    Other TV appearances include being a regular consultant on The History Channel’s, Ancient Aliens Series, as well as being featured in the UFO TV Documentary, The Real 4400, and UFOs: the Hidden Evidence on the Travel Channel. Rev. Carter was also featured in Steven Spielberg”s TV documentary, Abduction Diaries for the Sci-Fi Channel. “Diaries” was the precursor to the Spielberg’s HBO series, “Taken.” Michael serves as the minister for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Swanannoa Valley, located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

    The Roswell UFO Crash is perhaps the most famous UFO incident in all of UFO history. Hundreds of witnesses confirm that in July 1947, what appears to be an extraterrestrial craft crashed in the New Mexico desert and was recovered by the United States military. Despite the fact that researchers (like our guest tonight) have obtained countless eyewitness testimonies confirming this fact, the US governnment continues to deny it ever happened.

    Donald R. Schmitt, an author, journalist, lecturer, and former co-director of the J. Allen Center for UFO Studies, CUFOS, founded the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell. The museum aimed to preserve any material or media related to Roswell and to be a source for information on UFO incidents globally. During his time at CUFOS, Schmitt served ten years as the director of special investigations. Along with Thomas J. Carey, he also co-authored the books "Witness to Roswell," "The Children of Roswell," and "Inside the Real Area 51" that all became best-sellers.

    He is the North American Representative at the International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Researcher, and co-Producer at The Phenomenon Movie. He has appeared on all the big radio shows and podcasts, including Coast-to-Coast, and has spoken at numerous conventions.

    In today's exciting episode he will share information that makes it undeniable that something of unearthly origin crashed in the New Mexico desert.

His writing has been translated into several different languages including German, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Icelandic. He has appeared on numerous radio and television programs, including Midnight in the Desert with Art Bell, Coast-to-Coast and also the History Channel’s Deep Sea UFOs and UFO Hunters and Ancient Aliens.     Tonight, The Light Gate welcomes researcher and author, George Simpson. George is the world's leading expert on one of the most mysterious and well-known cases in all of UFO history: TWhe disappearance of Frederick Valentich in 1978 over Australia.

    George was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1958. He has had a life-long interest in the subject of UFOs since seeing one together with his sisters in 1967. He read the book “UFO's, Where do they come from?” by Richard Tambling in 1969 while in primary school.

    He witnessed the initial part of the final flight of Frederick Valentich on October 21st, 1978 from his family home in Beaumaris. He became a member of VUFORS (The Victorian UFO Research Society) in 1987, just after the Knowles Case was reported in the news. He later joined the VUFORS committee as a photographic consultant, listed as “Photographic Officer” in 1992, and served on that committee for the following 8 years.

    He then set up the Victorian branch of AUFORN (The Australian UFO Research Network) in 2000, ran investigations and followed up hundreds of sighting reports over the next 14 years, and ran four public meetings each year for that period, as the Director for the state of Victoria. During this period he also wrote a regular column titled “What Next” which was followed by “Now Then” for the Ufologist Magazine, from 2000 until the magazine closed in February 2018.

    He participated in the research, assistance, and filming of the first episode of the Science Channel production of “Unexplained Files” in March 2013, which examined the Valentich mystery.

    His book: “Nothing on Radar: The Valentich Mystery,” is the most comprehensive book on one of Australia’s most enduring and puzzling UFO encounters.

    This episode is a little different. Our guest had a power failure, so we quickly pivoted and decided to do a Q&A Open Mic episode, and talk about my latest book, "Not from Here Volume 5." It turned out to be a super interesting show!

    We talked about alien books (people who have seen books onboard a craft.) People who were taken onboard with their dogs. Astronomers who have seen UFOs. Sightings involving hundreds of craft in the sky at once (there aren't a whole lot of those!) And so much more. And of course we answer audience questions too. So much fun!
