  • Talking Simpsons - Mommie Beerest With Stuart Wellington
    Mar 25 2026

"One thing Moe Szyslak has never had is a partner. Nor a wife, a friend, a chum, a casual acquaintance, a pen pal, a parrot, a meaningful conversation, a brief hug, or eye contact. I'm just going to call the suicide hotline now. ...And they've blocked my number." - Moe Szyslak

Homer bails out Moe's by mortgaging the Simpson home, and Marge supervises this new investment by helping turn the run-down tavern into a classy British pub. But as Homer's bartender grows closer to his wife, will this scabby dead-eyed hunchback make him wear the horns of a cuckold?

  • Talking Simpsons - Treehouse of Horror V With Ian Jones-Quartey
    Mar 18 2026

"Relax, kids; I've got a GUT FEELING Uter is around here somewhere. After all, isn't there a little Uter in all of us? In fact, you might even say we just ATE UTER and he's in our stomachs right now! Wait—scratch that one." - Seymour Skinner

It's time once again to bask in the warm, glowing, warming glow of yet another Simpsons Halloween special—and, quite possibly, the funniest one to date. On this fifth installment, Homer becomes an axe-wielding, family slaying psychopath, the family gets trapped in a dystopian society lorded over by Ned Flanders, and Bart and Lisa risk being gooified by their hungry teachers. And if that's not enough, it all culminates with a show-stopping, inside-out dance number!

  • Talking Simpsons - Midnight Rx With Luke Savage
    Mar 11 2026

"Because of the Xanax, I'm not overanxious about being a Simpson anymore. I am a little anxious about being on Xanax, but the Zoloft covers that nicely." - Lisa Simpson

Mr. Burns cancels the company's prescription plan, causing the disease-ridden Simpson family to seek a Canadian solution to their very American problem. But when Homer and Abe's drug-smuggling operation goes bust, the two find an unlikely friend in a certain 104-year-old Springfieldian who owns an aircraft perfect for a wild, third act caper.

A great podcast covering classic Simpsons episodes with insight into what the writters room was like at the time, the general culture, and behind the scenes info that helped move a sitcom satire to the gold standard of American viewing. Bob and Henry do an excellent job of showing why this show has resonated within the tv landscape, often with the help of funny guests along the way.

A Krusty Komedy Klassic

Much like The Simpsons themselves, this show comes out pretty strong out the gate.
But it doesn't take long for the two main hosts (Bob and Henry) to become absolute comedy snobs, looking down their noses upon some of the later episodes, as well as anyone remotely associated with shows like Family Guy.
They also absolutely pride themselves when they point out how "these jokes wouldn't fly today." It's one thing if they just left it at that, but they expect 80s-90s writers to be as "enlightened" as (some) modern folks are these days.
Once the podcast starts inching into the downfall of The Simpsons (Season 12+), the two hosts start cowering, and opt instead to go back AGAIN and do commentary from the beginning onwards. They also drag their feet by having a monthly "talk to the audience" episode, which is incredibly boring.

In the end, the podcast is a good listen through Season 8. Afterwards, you'll want to do yourself a favor and find a few podcast.

Starts off great, gradually becomes insufferable
