Tamam Shud: the Somerton Man Mystery

The waves lapped gently against the shore as dawn broke over Somerton Beach in Adelaide, Australia. In the golden light of the early morning, a solitary figure lay propped against the seawall. His legs were stretched out, and his head tilted to one side, as though he had merely fallen asleep while gazing at the horizon.

But he was not asleep. He was dead.
