Please don't use acronyms with out taking a moment to explain. ROMCON. I do not know that term. You spoke of it very quickly that would work with a person of your education and others that already know what it means. Distracts from the analysis of the story. Very small point.

mike and ian are really great, and their dynamic is entertaining enough, but the research that went into this is remarkable. the hosts explore the rich veins of Easter eggs and literary reference and skill that characterize O'Brian's writing. I'll have it close for all of my future circumnavigations.

It's a delightful walk through the deeper parts of the writing

Rereading the series and listening to this great podcast to accompany it. Great to hear other people who are as passionate about this series as I’ve been since I first read them years ago.

Reminds me how much I love the Aubrey-Maturin series
