Sedans and Minivans | The Motor Crew | 03.12.26
This week on The Motor Crew, we talk about the changing landscape of the automotive world and ask the question… are big luxury sedans officially dead?
We start with what's happening at Kasser Motor Group. The Jaguar XJ8-L is still in the mix along with the Cullinan, a 2016 BMW 435i Individual M Sport, 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe with a new battery, a 2000 Porsche 911 Aerokit car, the 2022 SL63 AMG, a 2012 Mustang GT Boss, a Restomod Chevelle, and a Macan. As always, we're actively looking to buy interesting enthusiast cars.
In the shop at Service House of Precision, Bentleys and Fiskers keep things interesting as the crew talks about what's coming through the doors this week.
Then we get into the big news. Audi has officially discontinued the A8 after more than three decades, with no direct replacement planned. Another signal that the era of big body luxury sedans may be coming to an end.
At the same time, Mercedes is preparing to bring the all new VLE to the United States… an electric luxury van. So while sedans fade away, are minivans becoming the new flagship luxury vehicle?
We debate what this shift means for the future of the car market and enthusiast culture.
