Welcome to From The Old You To The New You Podcast. This is a recovery life coaching podcast that is all about helping people that are living in the past to let go of the past, learn and recover from their past mistakes, healing, and move forward to the present, and the future. This podcast is all about letting go of the past you in order to become the new version of you. A lot of people like to use the prefix RE with a word which means doing things repeatedly, or over and over again until you get it right. Whereas the word new means doing something either in a different way, or in a way that you’ve never done before. So you have to decide whether you want to re- something, or newly something when it comes to the things that you are choosing to do, or embark on. a lot of people choose to remain in the past, doing things the same way that they’ve been doing it for years, not trying to change as far as growing, evolving, elevating, or maturing. And then there are other people who every day are doing things in a new way, learning from their mistakes, growing, evolving, elevating, and maturing into a new and better version of themselves. So this is all about asking the viewers out there, whether you want to continue living, thinking, and remaining in the past version of yourself, or do you want to do things in a new, better, and different type of way than what you are use or accustomed to. And I understand doing something new can be very scary because of the not knowing what’s going to happen, how it’s gonna turn out, how it’s going to impact, and affect you, is it going to be better than the things that you’ve been doing, what’s going to be different doing what I’ve been doing, and why should I do something different, what I’m doing now works for me, and I’m happy with who I am now. so these are just some of the questions that I will be covering in this particular podcast. And if you were emailing me your stories that you would like for me to talk about, or any questions that you have that you want answers to when it comes to things that you are experiencing, please email me at Asha.Mariama01@gmail.com. you can also email me there when it comes to wanting one on one coaching as well.

  • Episode 49 - How Being Alone Will Lead To The Person That You Want To Be.
    Mar 13 2026
In this episode, I discussed how being alone will lead to the best version of yourself. You’re able to find who you are based on what you want and need and not based on what everybody else thinks that you should do and be. How I am dealing with the loss of my father, which is leading me to this new and better version of myself through grief? The one thing that I am learning through the loss of my dad is the things that I would like to do differently. This experience of me getting sick in 2017 to now has led me to this new and better version of me where I’m not sitting around and waiting for people to do things for me, going on trips with me, hanging out with me, or being relationships with me romantically. I’m not sitting around waiting for my family to accept me or what it is that I do. I am just enjoying this new version of me for traveling, building a new business in a brand, doing my podcast, getting ready to start making jewelry, candles, and body butters. Me writing two books about healing and recovery, motivational, speaking, and doing these podcast. So I hope this journey of mine as far as healing and recovery not just some grief, but also through my self-esteem, self-worth, self value, self respect, self confidence, and believing in myself, is leading me to this version of myself that I’m really loving. I’m enjoying this journey of being alone and walking in this path, purpose, and journey to this new and better version of myself that I’m happy with. And it’s important that I’m happy with this new version of me. The people that will accept the new version of you will accept it, and the people that don’t they won’t. I decided to share this journey that I’m going through with you guys on my podcast. And I really hoping it inspires you to go on your path, purpose, and journey alone to figure out who you are, and what you want to be. And who the new version of you is going to look like.

  • The That You Need to Leave Behind in Ordet to the New Version.
    Mar 5 2026
In this episode, I discussed how you have to leave the old version of you before you become the new version of you. People claim that they have change, and yet they are still doing the same behavior and action negatively with the same result. Or act like it the negative things that happened to them didn't happen. How when I let go what was in my life, how better my life is? The importance of letting the past go of what was, and focus on what will be, and what is.
