The Profession

The Profession of Security can be a hard place to be even as recent years, thousands of new professionals have entered the information security field.  In the past, information security has been a set of skills, a hobby, or perhaps a specialization of some other profession.  Today, there are a variety of roles, functions, and specializations within information security - yet even so, it can be difficult to figure out how to make that next step, or develop into a future executive.
