This is my campaign stump speech given in Lawton, Oklahoma in March of 2026 before a group of Comanche County Democrats and Independents . It gets a bit personal as I discuss the tragedies of my youth in dealing with the foster system, the streets, and the friends I lost along the way.

The U.S. has never had money problems, but it has always had a priorities problem. We always seem to have money for wars, bailouts, and corporate subsidies. But, when the people need assistance we are told to wait, to be patient, that our turn is coming. That we just need to work harder. Working harder isn't enough when your starting line is miles behind. Washington needs to start looking like the people it's supposed to represent.
