Turns out the episode on BOREDOM is anything but.

Henning and Jake have some strong opinions on the subject and wonder if a little boredom is not a bad thing. There are plans afoot for the WWITM Retreat, and Jake shocks Henning by telling him about Bone Conduction Speakers. They exist. Henning can't figure out how to play podcasts which is worrying...but the German Comedy Ambassador is a solution focussed individual, so he finds a way.

For fans of shorter podcasts, the boys are back to their tight twenty minutes after rabbiting on a bit on the last two. This episode is about CRITICISM.

Henning has yet to get his well deserved Bundesverdienstkreuz while Jake is not the Proucer of Stewarts Lee's TV show, but no one is CRITICISING them for that.

It's EXPERT LEVEL on this one as Henning & Jake take on the topic of HOTELS.

Henning requires a window that opens, Jake likes a little luxury but not too much. But NO SPOILERS...there is something SO odd about Henning's sleeping preferences that it would be a shame to mention it here, and you not get to enjoy Jake's absolute astonishment. The longest ever episode of WWITM ...but mostly because of the length of the pause when Jake asks Henning if he has a Sky Box. Henning isn't sure. The topic is ADVERTISING so expect reminiscences on old adverts in both the UK and Germany and how Henning's voice over for the Brighton Christmas market wasn't German enough. Jake though did sound English enough in his advert voice overs.

The boys put on HATS and talk about them for a while, before digressions into trying to buy Middlesborough Football Fanzines without cash and a part of the tale of William Tell which makes the Swiss out to be a right rowdy lot.

"We Are All Made of Stars" sang electronic musician and animal rights activist Moby, and Jake confirms it, although without much evidence, in this episode about ... ELECTRICITY.

Henning makes the point that electricity, while essential, is a bit of a double edged sword and the boys admit they don't really understand where it comes from, or even what it is.

But you didn't come here for a learning experience. At least we hope not.

Expect fireworks as Henning and Jake have words over CYCLING, or better, cyclists "the most persecuted group in society" according to the German Comedy Ambassador. Jake wants to tax them, and the conversation deviates towards the state of British roads.

Despite his devils advocate stance Jake admits to owning lycra and a mountain bike so the boys part as friends. And he's half French so has to like CYCLING.

The boys discuss EXPECTATIONS with opposing views. Jake was told by his careers advisor to give up acting, Henning had no expectations of becoming a stand-up comedian when he arrived in the UK some twenty years ago...it's all about EXPECTATIONS!

It's 2026 so "ENGLAND EXPECTS" !! Just sit back and don't do anything about it.
