this week we discuss our favorite cult classic films. from our deep allegiance to tracy flick and massively getting the ick from matthew broderick in election (1999) to obsessing over the dark humor in drop dead gorgeous (1999) and questioning the true absurdity of gender roles in but i’m a cheerleader (2000), we run the gamut on the truly brilliant run 1999 indie films. we also predict modern cult classics (looking at you, bottoms (2023)) and can’t help but wonder if we are currently living in idiocracy (2006).
