A Spark in the Ashes

A unique machine named VL-15 is on the cusp of freedom and answers to its existence when the world ended in catastrophic war. Sixty-five years later, a group of tech salvagers known as the Exhumers find it out in the Wastes. But before they can bring it back to their home, a storm comes and separates them. At the same time, the storm surge reawakens VL-15. It once again goes on a journey to find the truth of its existence, all while memories haunt it. Will the truth come from the Machine City where it was made, or within its own mind?

With her true identity uncovered, Cora now has a new purpose and a mission of utmost importance. Questions lingered- why was her father so distant? While she journeys to relight the Pinnacles, Cora will learn what sacrifice really entails. Their mission complete, the Exhumers return to their city in chaos. A new enemy—the Annexers’ Alliance—was bending everyone to their will. To fight an army, the Exhumers would need an army. Would a powerful nomadic group be their salvation or their demise?
